Dear Parents and Students,
I’d like to take a moment to address the unfortunate incident at the Therien location in Vanier. On Tuesday May 4th an instructor at the Vanier location was arrested for an inappropriate relationship with a 13 year old student. The arrest occurred after the student reported the relationship to the Vanier staff and the staff in turn, reported the individual to the police.
I first want to assure you that each Therien location is independently owned and operated. The individual that has been arrested was teaching exclusively at the Vanier location.
As a parent, I understand how disconcerting a situation like this can be. We understand that you place a great deal of trust in our staff by bringing your child to our schools. We value that trust and want to be completely transparent in addressing any questions you might have about the situation.
Although the staff and instructors at all other Therien locations were not notified in advance of the situation – we will do our best to address any concerns you may have.
